National Champion Thomas Liscomb was on Black Watch for three years. He joined the team in 1999 as a sophomore, and graduated in 2001 as a company commander.  Thomas is one of the best drillers Black Watch has ever had.  He was an excellent cadet who did well in all ROTC sports. Not only was he is a valued member of the Black Watch, but he was also on the Orienteering Team, The Physical Fitness Team and the Rifle Team. He was really a super guy who never failed Major Mikesell, or the Corps. April 2001 was when Thomas established himself as a household name in the Drill World. He proudly brought home the national champion title for individual drill that year. Thom’s drill style is very unique, stiff, incredible, and creative. He is it truly an inspiration to the drill world. Thomas worked extremely hard to make his dream come true. He measured himself against the competition during his first year at nationals in 1999, where he actually witnessed the amazing performance given by his teammate John Akeroyd. Thomas was awarded the Superior Cadet medal his junior year, and was also a member of the Rifle Team. He is currently studying at University of Texas at San Antonio.
