Howdy. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the official website of The Black Watch Drill Team, a rather elite, usurp web page dedicated to preserving the legacy of the nationally prominent Black Watch Drill Team. Whether you are an alumnus of Black Watch, a cadet from a different unit, or simply curious about Black Watch and the matchless world of drill, I hope you find this site enjoyable and fascinating. The members of the past are what made this team what it is today. Present members will make the team what they yearn for it to be tomorrow, and Major Mikesell’s sixteen-year tradition of excellence endures in the hearts of its members and will never vanish. Although words can't and never will describe how much we admire Black Watch, this site is just a simple mean of saying, “ Thank you gentlemen, we admire what you have done, and we are very proud of you”. Countless thanks to Black Watch members, alumni, and Major Mikesell for inspiring us, and giving us a taste of perfection.
Who am I? Maybe you have seen me with Black Watch at nationals. Maybe you have heard my name burs up in a conversation. Maybe you have seen me at San Antonio visiting. Maybe you have seen me at Scottsdale liquefying inhabitants, or maybe and likely all of the above but you did not quite realize that I am the same person, but that is just who I am – a guy who is making his own way in this world and happens to be a loyal super fan of Black Watch. But why? The identity that Black Watch carries is very unique, and it’s an identity that should not only be known in ROTC schools in America, but should also be recognized all over the world. It's an all-encompassing show Black Watch puts on, and never a bore. But that’s not what its all about. The suitable value of what Black Watch mean to me has yet to be fully realized. There are just no words I can articulate that can compare to the sheer pleasure. They are strapping, and they are a team like no other. National Champions or not, Black Watch is the best drill team that has ever lived, or ever will be. That's right. You read it right. No matter what happens to me, and no matter where I am, I will always be a loyal fan of Black Watch- past, present, and future. My relationship with the team since 1995 has given me something very special to appreciate, and for the experience, I am very thankful. Black Watch Forever! |
