In the course of her sixteen years with Black Watch as “second mom”, Mrs. Aja  Mikesell brought warmth to the team that encompassed us all. Whether it was as gracious help to on campus events such as The Black Watch Banquet and Military Ball or as friend who invited us into her home for a special meal, her inspiration, concern and love for Black Watch members was meaningful in everything she did. We will always remember her love and support. We will never forget the obvious joy she felt in sharing our triumphs in the battalion and on the drill fields. Her encouragement helped the men of Black Watch meet the challenges and made us appreciate the need to develop the perseverance and strength of character we needed to meet the world’s challenges tomorrow with courage. We take special pride in appreciating the lady that was there for us, and loved every member of team as a son. Thank you Mrs. Mikesell. We love you.
